Nehora Press

About us

The Founding of Nehora Press

Nehora Press was started by Mark z”l and Yedidah Cohen in 2003 when they first published their translations of Rabbi Yehudah Lev Ashlag’s Introductions to the Kabbalah.  We decided at that time to publish the book ourselves, because we felt that it was of vital necessity that only dedicated students of Rabbi Ashlag’s work should edit the material, and this we could only guarantee by starting our own publishing company.

Yedidah ‘s work

In 2011 Yedidah started Nehora School  for teaching the work of Rabbi Ashlag in an authentic way,  following many years in which she gave over the work of Rabbi Ashlag in many settings both formally and informally, in  Hebrew and English.
She teaches in Tsfat and virtually, in Israel and all over the world.

Yedidah ‘s work

In 2011 Yedidah started Nehora School for the teaching of the work of Rabbi Ashlag in an authentic way. This, following many years in which she has taught the work of Rabbi Ashlag in many settings both formally and informally, in both Hebrew and English both in Tsfat and northern Israel and virtually, using Audio-conferencing. Both in Israel and all over the world.

Our goal is to maintain high-standards of authenticity in the publication and teaching of the material of Rabbi Ashlag both in Hebrew and in English.

Yedidah is especially fascinated by the application of the texts to our everyday life. She is punctilious on accuracy while she sees the need to deal with the issue of accessibility of the actual texts.  Wherever possible she prefers to allow Rabbi Ashlag to speak for himself.

Yedidah’s work is endorsed by the late Chief Rabbi of Britain, Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks z’ tz’l,   Chief Rabbi of Tsfat, Rabbi Shmuel Eliahu,  and Rabbi Avraham Mordecai Gottlieb head of the Beit haMidrash, Ohr Baruch Shalom, Kiryat Yearim, Israel, and her latest book has been endorsed by Rabbi Moshe Weinberger of Aish Kodesh, Woodmere, New York
