Tapestry Course

New Course on the Introduction to the Zohar Sundays on Skype:

Ongoing weekly course every Sunday. Each lesson an hour.

The Introduction to the Zohar by the Kabbalist, Rabbi Yehudah Leib Ashlag, as brought in the book A Tapestry for the Soul.

The Introduction to the Zohar is a fascinating exploration of ourselves. The Zohar itself is written in a specific language, which makes it hard for the ordinary person to understand the underlying messages the Zohar teaches. Rabbi Ashlag penetrated and explained the language of the Zohar and then wrote this fascinating essay to enable us to see the core ideas that lie within the Zohar itself. We will study these ideas in this course and see how they apply to our own lives. The course will be based on the material found in A Tapestry for the Soul and Yedidah will add additional materials according to the interest of the group.

Ourselves and the World

The Spiritual Worlds

The Language of Kabbalah

What are We?

What is our essence? Are we our body, our personality, a collection of qualities or our soul?
What defines how we act and how we respond?  Where do our desires come from?
The unique role we each play in the great chain of humanity

Conduct of the Course:

We read the text and work to understand Rabbi Ashlag’s intention. We then look at how the concepts learned apply (or not) to our own lives. The course is conducted in groups. Groups develop a dynamic of their own and thus the pace is largely set by the interests of the participants. The more reading we do, the more we gain from the course. Yedidah welcomes dialogue and questions in the class!! I you would like to discuss the class with Yedidah please
